Google maps turn by turn navigation sound and rerouting

Hi,

I have iphone 6 with IOS 11.4 and I am in India.

There are 2 issues with google maps:

1, When I am using google maps once I give current location, destination and start, it gives voice over navigation on phone only once (direction) but later on there is no voice navigation till I reach the destination. It's very difficult to drive the car without voice navigation, I want the voice in phone only.

2, Google maps do not reroute itself once I change the direction (route).

Please help me how to solve the issues.

When you open Google Maps, go to the 3 lines in the upper left corner where you would type in a location. From there, you will see a settings gear to the right of the title, Google Maps. Tap on that, and then tap on Navigation. That will bring you to a Sound and Voice section, to determine things like Mute State, Guidance Volume, and Bluetooth settings.

Check to make sure that you have the latest version. Here is the US, it was updated at the end of June. I show the current version I have as Version 4.53.0.
