is it just me or does iOS 11.4 drain battery life faster 🤔🤔
yeah this IOS 11.4 is the worst to be honest I thought maybe my 6s battery is scraped so I changed it as well still it drains like anything. the worst update ever and also sometimes it makes my phone hotter.
oh and my iPad mini is running hot, that’s also only since the updathe. Like uncomfortably hot to hold. Not in a case so it’s not something lik that holding in heat from use or charging
Since many state it is related to network issues. I am guessing it is iCloud related.
Hope Apple can be clear what exactly is going on in the background.
Battery life decreased more than half after the update.
I have a WiFi only iPad so I got an external charger to get through this. Ridic, I know. It is why we WIFI! I am waiting to see if it affected the iPad when I get home but just in case..
I have had messages turned off in iCloud and I go to bed with it charged to 100% and get up with it dead.
Same issue here. 100% battery midnight went down to 20% by 7am whilst the phone was in lock screen. DND mode enabled, no background apps running, lowest brightness!!!

Well. That’s crazy. Even iPhone X’s have been affected. Changing to my 2.4 WiFi was the only thing that worked.
its now been 3 weeks since i started to use the 2.4ghz instead of the 5ghz net and the phones battery has been normal... no problems with battery drain.
Unlike someone that were lucky, yeah, I got hit by11.4. Bye bye iPhone once I find a good deal for Samsung or LG deals. I am fed up by Apple’s arrogance.
iOS 11.4.1 available - don't know if it fixes the battery drain issue yet - will report back after I try it for awhile.
Yes please do! Sometimes when bugs get fixed the conversation just ends.

I have had ios11.4.1 running for the past hour and my battery has dropped only 2% during heavy usage - it looks like the battery drain issue has been fixed!
I read on MacRumors that this is the last update until they come out with 12.

At Apple support, 11.4.1 is a security update- item by item, security issues only.
