Safari Download Connection Error

On my Mac, I usually use safari for web browsing and general downloads, and often find myself downloading rather large files (1-2 GB). It is very annoying as a lot of the time, as I attempt to download a file, I get a constant interruption saying "The Network Connection was lost". I know its not a problem with my WiFi, because the same problem occurs when I connect to other networks. I usually have to sit at my laptop and resume the download every 10 MBs of downloading. Does anyone know a possible fix that I can try?

Thanks

Will

Test with a different browser, and report back your findings.

To trouble shoot further you can:

Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen as certain system caches, dynamic loader cache etc get cleared and

rebuilt. This test will tell you if third party inference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

Test issue in another user (or guest user) account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.
