Is apple aware of the iPhone 6+ bendgate issue?

I just talked to a support specialist, she was very helpfull and pleasant to talk with. My issue with the conversation that she is not aware of the bendgate issue of the iPhone 6+. Even though Apple put out ducuments after a lawsuite that they were aware of the issue and still sell the iPhones knowing the defect. I take care of my iPhone 6+ and had it for years. I knew about the bending issue and notice the bending on my phone and thought it was normal. Six months ago my phone had a hairline crack accross the screen of my iPhone 6+. I know you guys thingking that I sat on it, dropped it. I never did anything but had it in my pocket and if you do the math it’s been years that i had the phone and took care of it. Why is Apple denying the issue to fix this? Are they going to make amends with this? Like they did with the throttling issue with the iPhones so i can upgarde to a newer iPhone? Their fix to that is paying $29 to replace the battery. I get that batteries deplete though time and i am willing to pay for the battery. My biggest issue here is when I replace the battery. Now I have to pay for the screen repair that the bending issue caused. I never had an issue with Apple until now. Apple has been solid with their devices and I can attest to that, except for the iphone 6+. There is no defending this product and I think this is the wost device that they have put out. Please correct me if I am wrong. I wil not be offended it is just frustrating to have this issue. Apple is no doubt the best phone out there. I guess you can call me an Apple sheep until now. Thanks.

You are about 4 years too late for this. Apple does not sell the 6 + anymore. Consumer Reports magazine did testing and debunked the issue. To bend it requires a certain amount of force, it will not do it by itself. If you had it in your front pocket then sitting can put stress on it.

Call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to Customer Service and see what they can do for you. Be polite, if you start bringing up iPhone throttling and the battery, which is not related and lawsuits they will end the call and you will be on your own. The article about Apple knowing the phone could be bent with sufficient pressure was vastly overblown by the popular media.
