No banner notifications in new iPhone X

Yesterday, I swapped out my iPhone 7 for a new iPhone X. I successfully restored the device and everything appears to be working fine, except I am not getting banner notifications for all my applications. Even for those that still show notifications, I do not see them unless I pull down the screen from the top left corner. I especially use an application called Pushover, and although new events can be pulled up in the app, there are no notifications when they arrive. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app, I have soft reset the phone, I have disabled/re-enabled notifications for the app, and have even reset my network settings as noted on some forums, but still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get notifications for all my apps going again? This is more than a little frustrating!

I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that part of the problem was in fact me. For my Pushover app, I forgot I had set quiet hours later in the morning on Saturday's than other days, so the messages were coming in, but the banners were disabled until I turned the quiet hours off. For other apps, it seems that the network reset did the trick. I do not seem to be having the issues any further, so hopefully, I am good for now. I appreciate the suggestions and sorry for jumping the gun a bit on this being a bigger issue.
