Apple LED display and 10.13.5

I understand 10.13.4 broke use of external displays. Has this been fixed in 10.13.5?

I have a MBP connected to an Apple LED 30" cinema display

Can I update to 10.13.5 from 10.13.3?

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 2.5 Ghz Intel Core I7 16 GB Ram

How are you connecting the display? It is not correct to say that 10.13.4 broke external displays. What ceased to work was video over non-C USB, which in reality was never officially supported on the mac. The hacks that the developers of “Displaylink” had invented and that relied on nonpublic APIs ceased to work. They do not work in .5 either.

If you connect in a supported way like miniDP, HDMI or Thunderbolt, possibly with adapters to DVI or VGA, it will continue to work in .4 and .5.
