iTunes doesn't open after closing the first time on my MacBook Pro

I have iTunes 12.7.5 running on my MacBook Pro computer. I can opens iTunes one time. When I close it down with the black dot and then try to open again, iTunes doesn't open. So I force quit it. When I try to open it again, the icon just bounces in the docking area. After a while it stops bouncing and no black dot, but I still have to force quit it. Force quit is shown in the choices in the pop up menu for the icon.

The only way I can get iTunes to open again is to restart my computer.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks. I sort of figured that out after I responded. While that's definitely correct, somehow I never thought of those dots as "black" - rather I thought of them as colorless. But I see and acknowledge it now. Thanks again.
