iPhone 7 Microphone Disabled and Headphones Not Working or being recognized

My iphone was working perfectly fine, has never had an issue, a major drop or anything. Updated my phone in the last week or so to 11.4. The other day I went to bed after calling a bunch of friends and talking on the phone... and when I woke up my phone no longer even recognizes it has a Mic. When making calls no one can hear you, and the speaker button is greyed out. The Voice memo button is also not even able to be pushed. It plays Sound for music and Youtube but not for calls. And it doesnt recognize plug in headphones, they just play over the speaker. Literally did nothing and all of a sudden my phone is a potato and it seems a lot of people have had this same issue.

It's obvious that Apple set a virus into the last update to ruin our older phones. Apple you are evil! My old phone had all my music on it and I was just using it as an device to listen to music since I couldn't transfer my personal music to my new phone (another evil). Your update disabled the microphone jack. Why is no one calling Apple out on this? How do they get away with this kind of behavior? It's obviously a purposeful virus tucked into the "update". We all trusted Apple and downloaded the update. I'm done with Apple products. The corporation has no conscience.

Is anyone else going through the same problem that I am or have encountered the same difficulties?

My Phone has simply stopped working on sunday and Apple conviniently refuses to take responsibility for the malfunction. I guess it is time for a worldwide classaction!

Fells like Apple is purposely ignoring the problem with its consumers. It is incredibly convenient for the company to have the Microphones suddenly stop working and recommend everyone in this situation to buy a new phone.

braiden.c, did you figure out the solution and if so what was it please? Exact same issue has occurred with my iPhone 7. Accessory microphones DO make it work... I dont believe all these forums that it is a HARDWARE issue... they want the business to "repair" Hope you answer... I realize it was a while back when you posted. Thanks
