High Sierra update fail. Can't start up.

I recently tried to update the software on my Mac and it is now stuck mid-update. I have tried to reboot it in safe recovery mode but it still fails. I get a start-up chime, then my screen displays the apple logo and the progress bar (at about 3/4 of the way through) then the Mac dies. Any help would be much appreciated.

Failed update The current update "macOS High Sierra 10.13.6" restarts my computer after loading, this isn't the issue until it tries to restart the pc. Upon doing so, the loading bar never moves, and the computer remains useless in this state. I've even left it in this state for 2 days with zero progress made. The only way to use the computer like now is to force shut down and reboot, but it still asks to do the update. Closing all tabs doesn't seem to help it either. So how do I get it to complete the task?

Mac Update Failer to High Sierra Hello, My Mac stalled during an update from El Capitian to High Sierra. The Update was taking quite a long time and froze. I choose to hard shut down and now I am stuck. Does anybody have a link possible to high Sierra I can use as chat support is down. Many thanks G

Can you boot into Recovery or Internet Recovery? If so, try First Aid on the drive.

About macOS Recovery - Apple Support

If you have a backup, you can also try erasing the drive and reinstalling the OS.
