Clicking Sound in Bass Drum

Hello all,

I am trying to make my own drum kit in garage band. I created the drums on one of my synthesizers, recorded them using my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 onto Audacity, where I edited the sounds. They sound crystal clear on audacity (and iTunes) but when I load the bass drum AIFF file (specifically) into the garage band sampler there is a little click, or pop at the end of the sound. PORQUE!?

Any clue on what it is and how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance!

the typical cause of this is that the edit you made is not exactly at a "zero-cross" mark

if you visualize a sine wave, it starts at zero, raises to a peak, then falls, crossing the zero-point, reaches a trough and then rises to the zero-point again. even in a complex recording you'll see the waveform criss-crossing the zero-point, and all edits need to be right at one of those crossings. anywhere else will result in a click/pop when GB plays the sound back. zoom in very close when doing your edits to be sure you cut at the right spots.
