All of my music disappeared from my iPhone

I upgraded to 11.4 on my iPhone 7 and all of my music disappeared -- thousands of songs that I had imported from CDs I owned. I read the community's suggestion for activating the "music library" button on the phone -- but my phone doesn't display a "music library" button. Indeed, "Music" is no longer a category on my iCloud.

When I go to Settings, the only categories are:

Show Apple Music

Join Apple Music

Show Star Ratings

Cellular Data

Downloaded Music [it shows one song; I have thousands]

EQ

Volume Limit

Sound Check

I teach yoga, so getting my music back is essential! Any help from Apple or the community would be very much appreciated!

Hello SUDouglass,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I know it's important to have your playlists for yoga class. I can help with this. It sounds as if you aren't subscribed to Apple Music. In this case, you wouldn't see "iCloud Music Library" in Settings > Music. In order to get the music you downloaded from CD's back, go ahead and connect to the computer with iTunes that has the music saved. From that point, you'll just sync your songs back over. Here's an article to help.

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB - Apple Support
Take care.
