Moving multiple bookmarks in Safari

Hello, I have searched on this (both in Mac Support and in the wider Web) but apparently I am not understanding the answers I find or am doing something wrong.

iMac, OS X Sierra 10.12.6, Safari.

I would like to select multiple bookmarks at one time and move them from a subfolder to a higher-level folder (in screenshot below, from the "ap" folder to the "Apple" folder--note that there are more bookmarks to be moved than are displayed). I can select one bookmark at a time, or multiple bookmarks one-by-one (by clicking in conjunction with the Command key) but am looking for a way to select a range of bookmarks all at once and move them. I thought that holding down Shift and Command, or some other key and Command, while clicking on the bookmarks would do this, but it doesn't. I apologize in advance for this being asked and answered before, but apparently I am losing the power to understand simple English explanations. 😟 Thank you.

Try holding down the command key when clicking the top bookmark. Then scroll to the bottom of the list and select the last Bookmark while holding down the shift key.
