No stories screen on News app on iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro 10.5 running iOS 11.4

My news app has been acting up lately. I can only read the news shown on the home screen or if I go to a specific channel, but if I search by topic, I’m presented with a No stories screen. I use the app a lot and I follow lots of different topics so that I can have news about them from a variety of sources, but since the last update, it hasn’t worked properly. I’ve tried changing the region to another country and back, and it hasn’t worked.

I see from your post that you've been having some trouble with News stories showing since you updated your iPhone. I'll be happy to help out with this.

If you've already tried restarting the iPhone using these steps Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch , the next best step would be to delete the app and install it again to get a fresh copy on the device. Here's how to remove then restore the News app: Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 10 device or Apple Watch
