LPX EXPORT ALL TRACKS AS AUDIO FILES GLITCH

I have noted that this issue has been raised several times with no resolution. I have been experiencing the problem for some time now but have just learned to put up with exporting every track individually. This is a pain in the arse to say the least, especially when working with large PJ's.

Basically, when I attempt to export all tracks as audio files either all or most of the files are missing. Upon inspection, the missing files are bouncing to the designated folder then being instantly moved to the trash. The trashed files are only 4kb and not the actual wav files. This happens with EVERY project. I have already reinstalled Logic to no avail and attempted the steps suggested in previous posts. The problem seemed to begin several updates ago.

I am using a Mac Pro with Logic X 10.4.1

2.7 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon E5

64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3

Allen and Heath GSR24

Running Sierra 10.12.6 (I have been told some of my current plugs will not function correctly with High Sierra so am yet to make the transition).

I have a feeling the conflict could be to do with third party plugs. I am using Waves and UAD (All plugs Authorised), East West's full library and Native Instruments Ultimate and Maschine. Before I proceed to remove each of the above one by one for compatibility testing, I was hoping someone had already found a solution. All of the other posts on the topic remain unresolved.

Thank you in advance for any help on the matter.

To isolate the issue, I'd create a project using only Logic's instruments and effects and try to export tracks as audio files. If the same happens as you describe above, it's not your 3rd party plugins to blame. But if it goes as it should, well then the issue is not with Logic per se.

Also, as a workaround, you could freeze the tracks, then copy the resulting audio files from Media folder in your project folder. If you save projects as single files, you can open these up as folders by right-clicking and choosing "Show Package Contents" from the context menu.

Hi,

Yeah this isn’t the issue. It is happening in every LPX PJ on the Mac. All of which are using UAD. When no UAD in PJ, export is fine. Although as stated above, if I restart the Mac and export straight away, it exports correctly. If I try again, having made no changes, it then returns to not working. Rather strange.

I am 99% sure it is a UAD conflict. I updated UAD quite recently but have noticed there is a more recent one. I am currently installing to see if this resolves the issue.

If not, I will just have to refrain from using UAD within LPX. I do all of my post in Studio One anyway so can still use the plugs to mix/master.

Thanks for the suggestion though. 👍-1F3FB;

Right so I tried to export all audio tracks with nothing but logic synths and no 3rd party. Worked fine. Soon as I added any uad the problem returned. Major bummer as I use all of their plugs a lot. At least I have isolated the issue though. The freeze files technique will have to suffice till either UAD or Apple release a bug fix. Unless I’m missing something settings wise that is.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I had not concidered freezing tracks. Very strange issue. I took the plunge and updated to High Siera. Opened project and the export worked fine. Great! I noted that the levels on my wavs were a few db lower than I wanted. Re opened the same pj, turned up the master fader by a few db. No other changes at all and the problem returned. Bizarre. I have a feeling there may be some sort of conflict between LPX and Studio One. Every time I restart comp, the first attempt at exporting all audio files works. Following exports are no good. I’m writing all day today and have not had chance to examine futher.

I use varispeed quite a lot on tracks and LPX won’t allow for multiple track export. If I freeze tracks is that a workaround for this also?

Thanks a lot bud
