Music is reading from external drive in iTunes

I transferred my iTunes music from an external hard drive to a new laptop. the music will only play if the external hard drive is connected to the computer. The songs are reading the location from the external drive and when I go to the preferences in iTunes the location is showing the c: drive on the computer. How can I get my Songs in itunes to read from the computer and not the external. Also lost most of my art work a lot was manually down loaded. Most of my music is copied from a CDs.

Hey f4sgma,

I see that you're looking to change the location of your iTunes media folder, so that you don't have to connect your external drive every time you want to play music from iTunes. I can help with this.

Here's how to locate your iTunes Media Folder as well as change it to the internal drive on your computer, so that you no longer need to connect your external drive to play the music: Locate and organize your iTunes media files

Take care!
