Airport Error: No DNS Servers
Hello,
My old ISP, Oceanic TWC, was recently bought out by Spectrum. With the change, came a new Cable modem. Ever since installing the new modem about three weeks ago, I've had constant problems. I
We have four devices: a 2009 iMac desktop, a 2017 MacBook Air, a 2014 iPhone, and a 2017 iPad. I was able to connect one (sometimes two or three) devices at a time to the internet, but not all four simultaneously. After numerous reboots of the Cable Modem, the Airport Express Router (2014), and all four devices in every combination I could think of, I decided to re-build my wireless network by pushing the hidden button on the back of the Airport with a bent paperclip and using the Airport Utility app to "create a new network". Success! (mostly)
The good news: all four devices are now connected to the Airport base station and are connecting to the Internet. They appear to be behaving normally. The bad news: I still keep getting an error message within the Airport Utility App: "No DNS Servers. This Airport base station doesn't have any DNS server addresses and might have trouble connecting to the Internet." Also the the little green light on the Airport Express Base Station is no longer green, it's a slow-flashing amber.
Any suggestions?
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
