What does “Time based restriction” mean?
It may be referring to time based restrictions on a roadway... For example, roads closed during certain hours, lanes change direction during certain hours, etc. It's rather hard to say without seeing what you're referring to first hand.
Apparently none of us have ever seen it, so we’re looking for a “hook”. The version is important because 12 beta has a feature to limit screen time. The app is important because it may be a feature of the app. For example, travel is restricted on certain approaches to the George Washington Bridge late at night. Or speed limit restrictions. One possibility that has not been mentioned is company usage restrictions if you have a company email account on the phone.
Like Lawrence, you need to let us know the exact iOS version, so someone can help. But, like Tim, I agree it could be something to do with a traffic issue.
I do have a work gmail account. I was traveling between Minneapolis to Madison. And it kept recalculateing. But was the exact same route every time. It was very frustrating and didn’t know how to fix it. I restarted the phone. Re entered the address. And nothing worked
I did a Google search and found this older ASC post. Maps app notification- time based restrictions will be applied soon. What does that mean? Not sure how accurate it is, but this is all that I can find that is anywhere close.
Where are you seeing this? What are you referring to, which version of iPhone, and what version of iOS do you have?
I have the current OS in my iPhone 8plus. I was using my maps and every minute it kept saying that.
What current iOS? 11.4? 11.4.1? 12 beta? Something older?
