Voice control activates randomly

I just updated my iPhone 6s Plus. While sitting on attended on my nightstand, voice control activated. Several times. I have Siri and voice control turned off, because I really hate those features. How can I stop this from happening? Headphones were plugged in.

Hi MonaMom,

I understand that you've disabled Voice Control and Siri, but you've noticed that Voice Control will activate randomly when you have headphones plugged in. I know it's important to choose how these features work on your iPhone; I'd like to help. If you've disabled Siri and Voice Control from Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button, I'd recommend reviewing the information below:

The press and hold setting applies only to the Home button. If you're using a headset, and it unexpectedly activates Siri or Voice Control, make sure that your headset is fully inserted into the device.

If you have a loose or poor headset connection, frayed cables, or moisture on the connector or remote, it might unexpectedly activate Siri or Voice Control. If the issue persists, try using a different headset.

Turn off Voice Control on your iPhone

If you find that the issue persists when using a different headset, or when you're not using headphones; let me know.

Best Regards.
