10.13.6 error request timed out -1001

I tried to download the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 update but keep on receiving 'Error Request Timed Out (-1001)' It would start to download but got stuck in the middle of download. Help?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Hi Mimfail,


Have you tried downloading the update while connected to a different network (or by Ethernet)?


If so, try (non-destructively) reinstalling macOS: How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support. Do NOT erase your startup disk in Disk Utility.


EDIT: Alternatively, try installing the update while in Safe Mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
