Issues with Logic Pro X and Midi Drum kit

I am using an Alesis Crimson 2 electronic drum kit with logic pro x, and all the drum pads are working perfectly except for the hi hats. I can't get any sound to come out of the hi hats whatsoever. When i plug my headphones directly into the drum kit, theyre working perfectly so the issue seems to be that logic isn't recognizing the hi hat trigger. Any solutions or steps in the right direction would be much appreciated.

MIDI mapping could be different for Alesis sound module. It may be sending a note that’s not assigned to any sound in Logic’s drums plugin. You can check if Logic recognizes an incoming MIDI note when you hit the hihat in Logic’s display (upper right corner). If it does then you could either reassign the note in Alesis’ settings, or tweak the plugin.
