Logic Pro X Waves Plug-In Validation

Hello,

Logic doesn't seem to be able to find the licenses present on my system for some reason, I have tried EVERYTHING, went as far as to erase all Waves related folders on my system and re-install them again. I have no idea what could be causing this problem especially after the fresh install. Below I posted the notice I get after trying to validate my plug-ins from the plug-in manager in Logic. I'm running Sierra on an early 2009 Mac Pro. Can anyone help me?

UPDATE: Only thing that got my DAWs back and running again was the downgrade from V10 to V9.92 which has to be done using the offline installer Waves provides through their technical support. Hopefully this misadventure of mine will help someone else.

FWIW I have 2 waves plugins and I run High Sierra, latest updates with the latest updates of Logic as well and have no problems. So, I don't see High Sierra being the problem.

What version of Waves Central do you have, what versions are your plugins, and what does Waves Central tell you about your licenses?

For example, this is what mine shows...

Thank you for your reply,

Yes I did test the plugins on my other DAW and got the same result: “no license present on this computer“

And yes I did contact Waves‘ tech support shortly before posting my question here and they replied quite quickly with the instructions to perform a downgrade, which to be honest I am not too happy about so I will try and upgrade my system to High Sierra as a last resort before caving in.

I will update as soon as I can with the results.

Ah, I misunderstood that then. I thought you already had gone to High Sierra. A quick look at the waves central page sure makes it seem like it should work on Sierra. Definitely sounds like they have a problem on their end though.

Sad that they are essentially forcing you to make that switch if you don't want to. IMHO they should do a better job of addressing it on Sierra. We are only talking 1 version back after all. I'd totally understand if you were talking a version that is many years old.

Good luck.

Exactly, it looks like my system is compatible , that’s why I upgraded without thinking too much about it, not to mention that Waves Central does not even open unless it’s updated to the latest version.

Anyways now I’m on High Sierra and nothing changed 🙂 Still all my DAWs say I don’t have any licenses installed on my computer.

So now I’m gonna do a downgrade as suggested by Waves. Wish I could do the same with the 48 hours of my life I just wasted.
