2013 Mac Pro only gives 1200x800 resolution

I have bought Apples Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI/ Adapter to connect my 2012 Mac Pro to my 30" Apple display but still only see the option to have 1200x800 resolution. On my 2003 Mac Pro I have the higher res working as standard. Can anyone help me with this?

Many thanks

Open System Preferences> Displays> Display, next to Resolution the default is to have this set to Default for this Display. Under that is Scaled before selecting it press and hold down the option/ alt key and then select Scaled, this should give you more options.

If that doesn't work there is a free app in the App Store called Display Menu you could try that but I think it only gives you the same options as the option/ Scaled method.
