Login loop bug on Podcast Connect

Every time I log into https://podcastsconnect.apple.com it redirects me to Get Started with iTunes Connect. If I click on the Podcasts icon, it wants me to login again. It's an infinite loop of login and redirect.

I manage a podcast that was moved from iTunes U to Podcasts back when they migrated non-courses out of iTunes U. I'd love to get the detailed analytics.

I have tried:

  • a different browser that has never tried to login to Podcasts Connect -- same login/redirect loop happened
  • authorizing at least one computer for this account through iTunes -- no effect
  • creating a developer account -- no effect
  • contacting Apple for help -- I can't, because when I select Podcasts as the topic, it redirects me to login, and it enters the original login/redirect loop

Any suggestions?

RCAustin was right. It was a new account, so it needed me to download the desktop version of iTunes and accept the ToS in order for iTunes Connect to work properly. I'm surprised Apple doesn't have a support page that points out this solution for the many people who have reported this issue.

I am in the same boat. I am going to podcastsconnect.apple.com, logging in, going to the "manage content" screen, clicking podcast connect....and then it flips back to the purple login screen.

I have read everything I can find online about this issue for days and tried it. NOTHING is working. Different browsers, accepting terms, adding a credit card, etc...I have done it all. I spent 1.5 hrs on the phone with Apple this morning, went through 4 different people, and no one could help. They told me there is "no known issue" with the page.

Have been working through this issue for a few days now, finally called in and spent an hour and a half chatting with the various support departments at apple. Nice folks, unfortunately no resolution.

I started by calling from Getsupport.apple.com, who eventually redirected me to the Apple Developer support. Apple Developer redirected me to iTunes support. iTunes support redirected me to iOS support. iOS support forwarded me to CPU support.

CPU support took pity on me and personally took the issue back to upper-tier iTunes support (rather than redirecting my call and starting from tier 1). iTunes support sent us back to upper-tier CPU support. Upper tier CPU support said to take it back to Developer support and start over.

At this point I said I was done working on this, that my main goal was to let them know that there are serious problems with their product, that its affecting MANY people, and they need to be aware of it.

So, the official response I got from Apple supervisors is they have no idea the cause or solution to this problem, each department is pointing the finger at other departments and back to the user, and they may not work to fix it.

I know it's frustrating at times, but keep in mind there are a lot of moving pieces and podcastsconnect probably shares a lot of the same parts as itunesconnect, as well as App Store connect. As you see when you sign in and out of podcastsconnect, signing out to routes you to itunesconnect.

I feel confident that Apple is on top of resolving this. Also keep in mind that this is not affecting ALL users. I have three older Apple IDs that I can sign in to podcastsconnect successfully, and two new Apple IDs that I cannot.

I have followed all of Roger's suggestions and still unable to sign in with the new Apple IDs, CC info, Authorizing, verifying accounts in iTunes etc. One I enabled two-factor and the other I did not, and made no difference. I also recall hearing that two-factor is now required to be enabled on your Apple ID to sign up for Developer accounts.

My only conclusion, just based on my own testing, is that the sign in page is receiving authentication or approval differently for certain types of Apple IDs, or some Apple IDs may have some different attributes associated with them.

I too have been able to contact their support, and feel confident this will be resolved as soon as possible.

I'm in the same boat as well. I was with Apple Support for 2 hours, I screen shared the issue you just stated, and then she couldn't do anything. Apparently another company (only open from 9am - 7pm CST) actually runs the site for them.

The issue is at this point: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/my-podcasts/new-feedwe are just sent back to the login. It's very frustrating and it's unfathomable a company worth a trillion dollars can have an idiotic bug on its site like this.

As someone who's been part of usability and development teams for the past 10+ years, I can say from experience that these issues are added to sprint backlogs for development to fix, but only if they are repeated issues. If they don't know how widespread it is, it won't get added to the backlog, much less added to a current sprint from the backlog. So, having customer support send development updates on the severity of the issue is not "ridiculous". Trust has nothing to do with it.

I get where you're coming from though. It seems an illogical and emotional thing to do, but when you're playing a game of numbers, the more people that talk to support the better. It doesn't become abusive or useless unless it's the same person repeatedly contacting support, opening multiple tickets. Then you'd be 100% right.

Meanwhile, I have also gotten a step further, getting to a terms and conditions page. But then it gives me the "We can't process your request" page as others have found. So it goes.

I've been getting exactly the same thing, too. iTunes Connect log-in, podcast connect log-in... back to iTunes connect log-in. I've tried on Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Chrome and it's the same infinite log-in loop.

Over the weekend I tried on two separate laptops (one mac, one windows) and it's always the same. When I tried on my work computer on Monday (on Chrome) I managed to get one step further to the terms of service window, but clicking 'accept' just takes me to a 'we cannot process your request at this time' screen. Then all options there take you back to the iTunes connect screen!

Having iTunes or at least signing in to it to enable your Apple ID is a documented requirement if you check the Podcast Help

An iTunes Store account. An iTunes Store account is an
