Login loop bug on Podcast Connect

Every time I log into https://podcastsconnect.apple.com it redirects me to Get Started with iTunes Connect. If I click on the Podcasts icon, it wants me to login again. It's an infinite loop of login and redirect.

I manage a podcast that was moved from iTunes U to Podcasts back when they migrated non-courses out of iTunes U. I'd love to get the detailed analytics.

I have tried:

  • a different browser that has never tried to login to Podcasts Connect -- same login/redirect loop happened
  • authorizing at least one computer for this account through iTunes -- no effect
  • creating a developer account -- no effect
  • contacting Apple for help -- I can't, because when I select Podcasts as the topic, it redirects me to login, and it enters the original login/redirect loop

Any suggestions?

I'm experiencing the same issue:

  1. Podcasts Connect Login (purple)
  2. iTunes Connect Menu (teal)
  3. Click Podcasts Connect
  4. Navigates to blank screen at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/my-podcasts/new-feed
  5. Redirect to Podcasts Connect Login (purple)

I have tried the following things (from various support discussions):

  1. Multiple browsers
  2. Log in to iTunes with the same account that I'm using to log in to Podcasts Connect
  3. Log in to App Store with the same account that I'm using to log in to Podcasts Connect
  4. Authorize current computer in iTunes
  5. Add a credit card to the same account that I'm using to log in to Podcasts Connect
  6. Add funds to the same account that I'm using to log in to Podcasts Connect
  7. Make a purchase using the same account that I'm using to log in to Podcasts Connect

At this point, I think I'm out of things to try. I sent an email on the 2nd of August to podcastsupport@apple.com explaining the issue as I've explained above. The automated reply said that I have been assigned case number 100602683760. I haven't received any non-automated replies from Apple yet.

As a duo new to Apple podcast, everything seems to have worked in the submission process, including getting approved. Two Old Dolfans podcast lives! The remaining question I have is on search parameters. I want our podcast to show up in the list if anyone searches on “Miami Dolphins” and I thought I had put that in the tags associated with the post - but we don’t show up. Does anyone know how to test / verify / tricks to ensure that happens?

Thanks

Scott

Yay! Finally!! Thank you all for helping to keep the pressure on the powers that be! You all made me feel not so alone in my frustration. I guess it’s that whole misery loves company thing.

All is working well for my little cast now. We are even searchable in the iTunes podcast store! Yay!

My podcast is the Unsung ***** Podcast. It is a comedy (hopefully) podcast where my best friend and I tell each other (and you) thoughtful and highly researched, but totally potty mouthed and irreverent stories about amazing women doing really badass things throughout history.

Good luck on all of your podcasts. I’ll check them out for sure.

I feel like we are all miners who have been trapped underground for three weeks and finally coming to the surface. We’ve bonded. We need to go on with our own lives, but we will always hold a special place in each other’s lives. Or is that just me?

Take care, everyone!

Hey-- we were having the same issue and after a little googling, we found the answer. Apparently the iTunes developers are only aware of an Apple-centric universe where everyone has iTunes installed. I had to install iTunes, log in to it, accept the terms of service etc., and THEN try and get to podcast connect. Got it on the first try after I did all that...here is the reddit thread where I found the answer: https://www.reddit.com/r/podcasting/comments/8nnz5y/apple_podcast_connect_login_ loop/

After a lot of head scratching / phone calls and teeth grinding I found a solution to this exact issue.

I had created a new apple ID for the podcast as I wanted it to be independent of my existing account. Turns out my newly created Apple ID wasn't a iTunes Store account and this was why I couldn't get past the login issue.

In order for me to fix the infinite loop of being asked to log in. I had to sign out of my existing itunes (using the OSX app on my Macbook Air - It would be the program iTunes for Windows users.) and log in with the new account. Here you will be asked to complete some address details as well as payment details.

Once I completed this I was able to log in. I think I had one failed atempt but the second attempt was all good after hours of failing.

I hope this helps and if it doesn't I'm sorry if I gave you any false hope!

I live in South Korea, and it still doesn't work. It is frustrating!

I have recorded the video of the issue (the INFINITE LOGIN LOOP), and have answered so many questions, such as

• Screen recording illustrating the issue

• Confirmation of the username that is experiencing the issue

• Web browsers that you were able to reproduce the issue in

• Web browser version numbers

• Confirmation that you reproduced the issue using Safari after removing all website data

• System information (device model and OS version number)

• The URL of the page you are on

• Have you ever been able to access Podcasts Connect before? If so, when was the last time you were able to access our website?

• Have you ever submitted a podcast to Podcasts Connect before? If so, what are the RSS feeds and direct links to the podcast?

I have asked Apple if it is about the country that I am trying to login, but they will never answer.

They say they are working on it, but I have been waiting for extra 2 weeks to be solved.

I hope I could upload my podcast..... soon...

Hello there!

I have received an email from Apple saying

I’ve notified my colleagues of the issue, and we’re currently working on the matter. I’ll let you know as soon as I get an update. Your country should not be the cause of this issue.

So, we are going to have to wait more. You should e-mail them too, so that they can be aware it's not only me who still has the same problem. When I emailed them last week, they were kinda surprised that this issue is not completely solved.

I live in South Korea, and Apple said it is not about the country.

BUT I believe it is about the country that I am trying cus I have asked one of my friends living in New Zealand and it worked.

The fastest way is to ask a person who lives in another country to upload your podcast.

Seriously, I have tried with 4 different computers, 5 different browsers, and 3 different accounts but did not work at all.
