Login loop bug on Podcast Connect

Every time I log into https://podcastsconnect.apple.com it redirects me to Get Started with iTunes Connect. If I click on the Podcasts icon, it wants me to login again. It's an infinite loop of login and redirect.


I manage a podcast that was moved from iTunes U to Podcasts back when they migrated non-courses out of iTunes U. I'd love to get the detailed analytics.


I have tried:

  • a different browser that has never tried to login to Podcasts Connect -- same login/redirect loop happened
  • authorizing at least one computer for this account through iTunes -- no effect
  • creating a developer account -- no effect
  • contacting Apple for help -- I can't, because when I select Podcasts as the topic, it redirects me to login, and it enters the original login/redirect loop


Any suggestions?

RCAustin was right. It was a new account, so it needed me to download the desktop version of iTunes and accept the ToS in order for iTunes Connect to work properly. I'm surprised Apple doesn't have a support page that points out this solution for the many people who have reported this issue.

Me too. Same problem. I've been on the phone with Support and was then redirected to the developer site. I DETAILED my problem within an email to them. Their response? Go to podcastsconnect.apple.com and SIGN IN! Are you friggin kidding me!!??? That is literally the entire issue. I have so many emails from them now with wrong or complete;y unhelpful replies.

This is ridiculous. So many suggestions out there because it has happened so many times. I even created a new account, attached a credit card to it, and got that all setup and that didn't work either. 1 of the many suggestions was that it was caused by your account being setup as a vendor somehow so the work around was a new account.


Trillion dollar company and all they do is play the blame game internally and everyone gets the shaft.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Promoted a podcast to launch this week, and I'm stuck in this stupid loop.


I've tried two active, long-used apple IDs, a MacBook and and PC, various browsers, cleared caches, and nothing. And I can't contact support because that just throws me into the same loop.


This seems to have been going on for months by my research. This is ridiculous and incredibly frustrating and such a waste of time.

I host podcasts via Libsyn, so I'm able to send the feed to Google Play and Spotify. I just got approved via Stitcher. The show later this month is a fiction podcast, and people's ability to access the episodes is really, really important. If I can never access my podcast feeds again in iTunes, I'll give up.


The new show has its own website and blog. If this isn't fixed by the week of launch, I plan to write a blog explaining to listeners why we're not on iTunes and add a page of all the different places they can get the show instead. That's all I can think to do. It's really unfortunate.

Flooding them with emails, when they are aware of the situation is not going to do anyone any good and a waste of resources. Podcasts are tied to the rest of the infrastructure and I’m sure they are careful to not break something else in the process of trying to fix an issue that is affecting only some Apple Ids.


Don’t make matters worse. It’s a free service.
