What's going on here.

SO I have this ongoing problem where my video will not export once I place the files in the work flow. I notice here that I tried to put the video in the work flow and it placed the file above the regular placement, and you can see the photo has been place where it should. This may actually answer my problem.


Anyone know why this is happening ??

You are using a very old version of FCP X, and you seem to be very unfamiliar with how the application works.

What you show is a clip that is connected to a gap clip.

I don't know how you did it, but that, per se, is not a reason for failing to export.

The end result should be exactly the same if the video had been placed in the "primary storyline" (where you now have the gap, that dark thing), right before the other clip.


One common reason for failing to export is if the clip was not fully imported.

Where did these clips come from? A camera, an iphone? In the browser, do you see any whitish camera-shaped badge over one of these clips?


Also: what OS are you running? You are using a very old version (at most, it can be 10.2.3; the current one is 10.4.3). That indicates that your OS is also somewhat old.
