Safari, not working: the Danish Official Encryption and signatur solution NemID

The official Danish state system for all companies are not supported in Safari Browser.

Is this a Safari issue or NemID issue?

We are as a businesses in Denmark forced to use this officiel system - and cannot use Safari browser.

You will have to check with NemID which browser do they support.

As an example, the Spanish police issues personal certificates for online authentication, tax form submission, etc. and until now only IE and Firefox are supported. But since they are the developers they have to specify which browser and version of browser do their software support.

Thanks a lot for information...

NemID do NOT support Safari.

My intention is to try pushing NemID/Nets to support all platforms - as this is the official system for the whole of Denmark. The state chosen provider is not eager to support all platforms.

To my opinion a such system should work on all platforms.

I am a specialist in Secure Mail on Mac, and NemID/Nets claim only Mozilla Firefox are support on Mac, nevertheless it works fine on Mac Mail and Outlook 2016 for Mac.

I understand and good luck with that. In Spain there is no other choice than to use either IE or Firefox, for the time being (and the e-ID was released over 6 years ago). I guess Mac is not mainstream enough as to put their efforts on making anything macOS/Safari compatible, which kind of makes sense.
