Hello Alex_h1,
The issues isn’t weather the AirPods are connecting to be (Bluetooth device) which is the iPhone, both of which are connecting fine; it’s the fact that it seems to disconnect when playing back Voice Memo and when using the HelloTalk app, which I imagine uses the same function to playback voice it the App, when playing back voice in either App, the Bluetooth AirPods disconnect and it plays back via the internal iPhone speaker which is nearly impossible to hear at max so you have to hold it up to your ear to hear conversation. I’ve connected my normal iPhone ear pods and it played back fine in the ear pieces, it’s only Bluetooth connection that it switches. I had heard that if you save your voice recording as a file elsewhere it gets conveyed to MP4 format and you can listen to it even on the AirPods (Bluetooth).
That being said, I feel there still is a bug not yet addressed on this issue. It’s a problem on the HelloTall because you can’t save all the voice files, only when in private message mode. I figured once your fix your issue with the voice memo and Bluetooth playback any other App that uses the same tech will have their issue remedied. I chose AirPods because of the convenience and not having wires; but for now I have to bring an extra pair of EarPods just to listen to my conversations.
Hope this helps clarify; I think it’s an iOS issue more than an AirPod issue because it also disconnects from any Bluetooth external speaker (third party) as well.
I do have the latest iOS install and an iPhoneX btw.
Thank you
Brian
