increase size of text box final cut

I am trying to create an effect that requires me to set some keyframes for text size. however, when I start to go beyond 100%, some of the letters start to disappear. how do I make the text box larger so I do not run into this. I am sure I am going about this the wrong way but I know no other way to do what I am trying to do. basically, I am hovering text in mid air wile the camera moves closer to it the text is to get larger until in passes by the camera.

Any ideas?
