Apple Mail on the MAC does not keep iCloud IMAP account in sync
Apple Mail on my MacBook Pro seems to keep losing synchronization with my iCloud mail. I have several mail accounts using IMAP, but the iCloud account seems to always have trouble with new messages coming in. I have selected "Rebuild" many times from the Mailbox menu, and gotten my mail to synchronize. I then read and delete a new message. Then when the next new message comes in to my iCloud account, the message I just deleted reappears as new.
This problem seems to happen consistently for my iCloud account, but not for the other IMAP accounts I have. This problem also does not seem to happen on my iPad or iPhone. When I see the deleted message reappear as new on my MacBook Pro, I open Mail on my iPad or iPhone to see the actual new message. I am using MacOS 10.12.6 with Mail Version 10.3 (3273). Any suggestions for resolving these beside selecting "Rebuild" after every 2 or 3 messages would be appreciated.
MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)
