Beats Solo 3 - popping sound in right earphone

Hi. I’ve bought brand new pair of Beats Solo 3 headphones about 2 weeks ago. The sound quality is normal, but there is an issue while on wireless conecction. Each time audio stops (regardless of the device it is connected to) after 3-5 seconds there is a single „popping” noise in the right earphone. It isn’t loud but it’s noticable. It appears every time any sound has stopped (even after the music that playes when the headphones are turned on). When the headphones are connected by the aux cord the issue doesn’t exist.

Does anyone have had this problem and is it possible to fix it without warranty return?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you hear a popping noise with your Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones when audio stops on a wireless connection.

I suggest to reset and check for a firmware update with your Beats. The following guide will show how to reset your Beats: Set up and use your Solo3 Wireless headphones

Reset

Hold down these two buttons for 10 seconds:

Power button

Volume down button

When the Fuel Gauge flashes, release the buttons. Your headphones are now reset and ready to be set up with your devices again.

You'll also see that your Beats are kept up to date if you pair them with an iPhone using iOS 10:

Update

Your headphones are automatically kept up to date when they're set up with an iPhone using iOS 10.

If you're not using an iPhone with iOS 10, you can see how to update the firmware from the following guide: Update the firmware of your Beats product

Testing the behavior with another audio source may help to isolate the issue further.

If the issue remains, it would then be best to contact Apple for further assistance: Contact Apple Support

I've reseted the headphones multiple times and it doesn't fix the issue. Also, the headphones were updated with the latest firmware. Guess I'll have to get them repaired but thanks for the help anyway 🙂
