Photo albums no longer work with Apple TV & Home Sharing?

I have a Mac that acts as a media server, and in iTunes on that system I've enabled home sharing and have specified a photo sharing folder. In the past, the sub-folders inside the specified folder each showed up as a separate album on the Apple TV, so I could group photos into albums that way.

Something's changed and while the photos are all still accessible from the Apple TV, they're all lumped together. I go to "Computers" from the Apple TV's top-level menu, then select "Photos", and then "Albums". In the past this would give me a list of the sub-folders as album names, but now gives me just one choice: "Shared photo albums". Selecting this shows me all the photos in all the sub-folders in one big group.

I've tried rebooting both the Mac serving as the media server, and the Apple TV, but still see the same behavior. Anyone know if this is now the expected behavior, or does it look like I'm hitting a bug?

This is occurring with two different Apple TVs (one 4th gen, one 4k) connected to the same Mac server. The Apple TVs are running tvOS 11.4.1. The Mac acting as media server is running macOS 10.13.4 and iTunes version 12.7.5.9.
