Is this community nothing but endless bugs??

If you are a very new users, there is a limit on how frequently you can post. I don't know exactly what that limit is. I don't know if Apple tells people. It's designed to cut down on spam. I do know that, once you have been around awhile, the limit drops to one post every thirty seconds. It's possible you're running into the post limit.

I agree with you. Over time, you will learn to avoid most of the issues.

As has already been stated here, this forum software does indeed have a number of bugs. We report them to the hosts. They pass it on to Engineering, something gets fixed or doesn’t get fixed. Something else crops up. We report it... rinse and repeat.

FWIW, I have had the red banner appear that you show in your screenshot, twice already today and it wasn’t because I was trying to post again too quickly. It is a relatively common bug. One of my favorites is that I will be logged out in two current ASC tabs, while still logged in in two other current ASC tabs.

That seems to go hand in hand with the sign in bug where I tap on or click on Sign in, only to be brought back to the sign in screen. I tap or click on Sign in, only to be brought back to the sign in screen. I had a half dozen go arounds with that bug before I finally gave in, closed Safari and started all over again.

Just sayin’ you are not alone.

Here's how to make a LOGIN bookmark that will end up on your "favorite" ASC page

1. goto the ASC page of your choice
2. choose "Sign in"
3. Bookmark the LOGIN PAGE

This login page has parameters in the URL to take you back to your favorite page

I have a link to the signin page. This works when Apple's signin link doesn't. I run WaterFox, a Firefox clone.

Actually, I have a link that works as well when the Apple link doesn’t. I believe that I got it from you, maybe? When I use that link, I am taken directly to the WC in the lounge. In any event, that link works for me.

I think CCC figured out that sort of link. I remember CCC and me having a discussion about this. It doesn't go to the lounge for me. I get the login page with my id filled in. After pressing return twice, I get the welcome page which I quickly close, because of the forced log off issue. It was supposed to be fixed for some, but not for me when I last left the login page around. So, I'm taking the superstitious approach by exiting out of the Welcome screen, ASAP.

I think posting the complete link is Ok, but it looks worrisome. It puts up my ASC id.

It does suffer from problems as you described. But be comforted by the fact that they are working on it.

How did Demo get it to go to the lounge? I'd like the page to go to my /content page. I bet I need to play around with:

which points to //welcome

You can choose a different "/content" filter or NOT choose one for "Authored" default
