macbook pro 13" 2018 random freeze

I got my 2018 macbook pro 13" three weeks ago. The computer freeze at least twice. It requires hard reboot. Where should I start to look for fault? The system isn't under heavy load nor was it hot.

add me to the list as well. I got my MacBook at the very end of august and it froze like 4/5 times until now.. I updated to Mojave like 2 weeks ago and I thought that fixed it, until it crashed again yesterday.. I'm also in Amsterdam and I thought of bringing it there and requesting a new one but apparently that won't even help if everyone's having that problem 🙃

Same here. I recently bought my MacBook Pro 2018 13'' with Touch Bar in August and since then my MacBook can't stop having random freezes when I'm doing my work and it's annoying me. My MacBook had already freezes for about 7-8 times since I first bought it till now. I was wondering if Apple is working on a new update for MBP 2018 models but why are they keeping quiet and not saying anything regarding this issue?? I seriously regretted buying this MBP 2018 and should've just continue using my MacBook Air 2015 model since it works better than MBP 2018. and doesn't have any random freezes. I seriously hope Apple will find a solution regarding this issue as soon as possible.

Hi all,

same issue here. MBP 2018 13" touchbar, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB HD.

Bought at the end of July, today I've experienced my first total hang (everything was unresponsive) and the subsequent restart.

Not good, at all. This is an expensive piece of hardware and since I use it for business reasons... I'm a little bit worried.

Is Apple doing something about that or not?

Hey @benjiFromTheBlock, thanks for sharing! Yeah, you are not the first one to mention that to me actually.

Would you mind telling us how you did that? Did you re-install it from your own backup or downloaded again from the Internet? Did you use Time Machine or something else? Also, this re-installation was of High Sierra or Mojave?

Thank you again and sorry for so many questions

Okay Apple finished repairing my laptop. I had trouble with my keyboard (if I type a ‘t’, ‘tt’ appears for example), so they completely replaced the topdown of my MBP. Regarding the crashing, they did a clean install and it passed all their tests and they had it running for a few days. They urged me not to put my backup on it but to just use it as a new MBP. I’m curious to see if this will stop all the crashes, I kinda doubt it, but we’ll see.
