Album export and HEIC format - question of understanding

Dear community,

For a long time I have been using a script that has been discussed several times here (e.g. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7891804)...

I was able to copy photos with their albums into a file structure easily.

Because most photos were edited on my iPhone, I used the option "export edited version" of the script.

If I export the photos saved as HEIC now, the photo is saved as jpeg and is given the creation date "today" due to the conversion.

Is it possible to export the "edited version" with the script while keeping the recording date and format (HEIC)?

Thank you for your help.

Many greetings

Tom

Not yet. We have to wait for Apple to add the support to export edited versions as HEIC files from photos. Preview can already save edited photos as HEIC files, but Photos does only support JPEG, TIII, or PNG when exporting edited versions. HEIC is only available when exporting the unmodified originals.
