Proxy Media not visible in FCPX browser or timeline

Hi Guys,

Has anyone had the problem of red warning modified files or black thumbnails in the browser and time line? The 4K clips that are .mov files are fine when original media view is selected but when switched to proxy view the clips are not available for edit.

The library is on the internal HD and the media files are on an external HD.

The files have not been modified by any application.

FCPX 10.4.3

I’ve never seen anything like this. Maybe they’re partial files, or render files of proxies. Proxies are normal, playable QT files.

Here is a view that shows the proxy file in the Final Cut Proxy Media folder, yet the browser shows the warning!
