Assistive Touch

My Assistive Touch button recently started appearing on my screen on its own. It happens every few weeks and it's frustrating to have to constantly go into the settings to turn it off. I don't have it set through any shortcut buttons, so I'm baffled as to what causes it to periodically appear. Is this happening to anyone else?

Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Accessibility Shortcut (it's all the way at the bottom) and make sure that Assistive Touch is not checked.

Hey rstewart30,

I see you're having some trouble with the Assistive Touch menu appearing on your iPhone randomly, even when a shortcut isn't set. I'd like to help out.

Have you tried restarting the iPhone to see if that clears the issue? Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If that doesn't work, try resetting the settings on the device. Be advised that this will reset all preferences and settings on the device, including your Wi-Fi password, alarms, restrictions, Touch ID & Passcode, and other settings. It will not remove any data, but I do recommend having a backup: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

When you're ready, reset the settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Let us know if the Assistive Touch menu is still randomly appearing on your device after these steps.
Take care.
