Logic stopped responding to interface and sound library disappeared
Hello Logic Community,
I'm using a MacBook Retina (mid 2012)
Mac OS High Sierra, version 10.13.6
Processor: 2.7 GHz intel core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Logic Pro X 10.4.1
Interface Apogee Quartet
Last night, for the first time, I tried to save some EXS samples and instruments, Ultrabeat samples into my project. A few pop up boxes appeared, I can't remember them that well but one of them said that I needed to download a library or something, I clicked 'Yes'. There was another pop up box saying that I did not have an output selected ( or something like that, it was quite late...).
I didn't have my interface connected but this has never been a problem before, usually the sound just comes out the apple speakers instead.
Anyway next thing I know is my library seems to have disappeared....see photo below:
When I try to play the track, none of the tracks are playing ( through internal speakers or interface), even the audio, vocal tracks are not playing and the meters are not showing.
I am now halfway through downloading a new library. However when I checked the audio library on the hard disk it seems all the Library samples are still there, which makes me think that the library has not disappeared but is not being accessed by logic. See photo:
When I click on the 'Audio Preferences' in logic the interface is showing but is slightly grey and is not responding to being changed...also the 'Apply Changes' is grey and not responding. See photo below:
I have 15 hours to go before the library is installed but I'm also thinking that the library may not solve this problem.
My computer is recognising the interface as I am still able to use it to listen to video's on the internet, see photo:
Can anyone help please?
Thanks in advance
Sharon
