iCloud verification email issue

I'm trying to set up my iCloud account to connect to iBooks so I can publish my books in the store. When I tried to sync the accounts, I get a message that a verification email has been sent to my account, but I haven't received it.

I tried some of the older methods to fix the issue, but a lot of them are years out of date. I was wondering if anyone has any more recent fixes?

To start with your iCloud account you need to first create a web mail account like gmail see this article Create a Gmail account - Gmail Help

Then create an Apple ID see this article Create and start using an Apple ID - Apple Support

Make sure Apple ID address is kept same as web mail address .

In case if you change the Apple ID see this article Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

Then you have to set up an iCloud account see this article Set up iCloud on your Mac - Apple Support

Make sure in system preferences > iCloud the Apple ID must be signed in .

When you open iBook , take cursor on top menu bar > store > sign in with your Apple ID password .
