Sync Files & Folders to NAS

Hi, I know this might have been addressed elsewhere but all discussions I saw didn't seem to go anywhere helpful (to me, at least!).

So I have all my music on my Mac and also on my NAS. Originally it was a complete replica of my iTunes library on the NAS which followed the same file structure.

Now and again I will tweak the folder names and contents on my Mac (editing them via iTunes) in order to keep things neat and tidy, and have to then access the folders on the NAS, delete the old ones and replace with the new.

One caveat; there might be files on the NAS that aren't in my iTunes library on my Mac...

I know this can be done automatically using Automator but I am but a simple chap who doesn't know how to do this.

It's really only a script that can look at the folders on my Mac and compare to the folders on the NAS and make the changes accordingly, right?

Can someone give me some pointers?

Thanks in advance...
