Move Logic Pro X to another computer

I have the latest Logic Pro X with all loops and sounds on one computer, but am switching to a new MacBook Pro.

I copied the app, Audio Loops and Loop Index and /Library/Application Support/Logic. But the sound manager wants to download a bunch of stuff again.

I tried "Index Loops" in the Loop Browser, but it does not seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

Relocate Sound Library to existing sound library I recently purchased a 2017 iMac and used Migration Assistant to get all my files from my backup drive. On my old Mac Mini I had Logic Pro X's sound library relocated to an external hard drive. When everything has been updated, I opened up Logic and tried to relocate the sound library to my external drive but it won't let me select my external drive and says I have an existing sound library on my external drive. How do i use those files instead of my hard drive? Thanks.

Logic Pro on two MacBooks (same Apple ID) I have two MacBook Pro's. One is my 2019 that I user for personal, and one is a 2020 that I just got as a new faculty member. I purchased Apple Logic on my personal computer and am using the same Apple ID on my work computer. I plan to download Logic from the Apple Store onto my work computer since I already purchased it. I think this will work since its the same Apple ID. My question is my sound library is on a portable hard drive currently for my personal computer. Can I use this same hard drive for Logic on my work computer so that I don't have to take up more space and redownload it? Will Logic recognize the files if I plugged it in and downloaded Logic to my work computer? Thank you! Lance

Not able to Relocate Sound Libraries back into Mac I wanted to restore MacOS. So before the restore I had relocated the Logic Pro X 10.5 sound library to an external drive(obviously, with a vision to relocate it back when I'm done with MacOS restore). Unfortunately when I'm clicking on the Relocate Sound Library button a window is opening and there is a list of 2 devices there one is Macintosh HD and another on is my external HDD. But both of them have been greyed out. I'm not able to click on Macintosh HD to relocate my sound library back in MacBook Pro. And it is showing that I have "Current Sound Library Files Location" beside Macintosh HD. However I do not have any sounds installed as of now. I have stopped the download of the new sounds. Even the essential sounds. Please help!!!

Unfortunately, I suspect there is a bug in Sound Library Manager component of Logic, where it does not recognize the content which has been moved. The same happens when one is trying to move these libraries to an external drive using symbolic links. Logic itself may see the loops (in the Loops Browser) and load instruments, but not the Sound Library Manager. The only remedy is to download the content again (and you'll see that the newly downloaded stuff will just replace the existing files that were moved). It's ridiculous, but it has always been this way with LPX.
