iphone photos to iMac
Photos taken on my iphone away from home appear in Photos on my iMac. However, any photos actually taken at home, do not. Can't figure this out! Suggestions?

Mystery solved! I deselected "upload to photo stream" on my iMac, took an iPhone pic and the photo showed very quickly in photos on my iMac and iCloud.
Thank you so much for your help!

When you transfer by AirDrop, do the photos have the right timestamp and sort correctly?
- My photos appear on my iMac automatically. That's how I have it set up.
That could be either iCloud Photo Library or My Photo Stream. Which is it? (Neither should cause this, though.)
If you are using iCloud Photo Library, do the at-home photos show up in the Photos section at iCloud.com?
Yes, when using AirDrop, the photos sort correctly.
OK, so they must have reasonable dates.
I have "iCloud Photo Library" and "Upload to My Photo Stream" selected on my iPhone.
And which one do you have enabled on your Mac? (You wouldn't need both on either the phone or the Mac unless you have other devices that cannot use one or the other.)
Never, or only after the next batch of "away" photos comes through?
Could they somehow be sorting out of order so that you don't see them?
How are you getting the photos from the phone to the Mac? iCloud Photo Library, My Photo Stream, Image Capture, or some other method?
What version of iOS is on your phone, and what version of macOS on your Mac?
Yes, when using AirDrop, the photos sort correctly.
I have "iCloud Photo Library" and "Upload to My Photo Stream" selected on my iPhone.
I haven't checked on iCloud for at-home photos, but will test it tomorrow and report back.
Thanks!
Being at home must have made a difference to which of the two update paths reached your Mac first. No idea why that prevented both from working.
Thanks for the quick response!
- Never do my "at home" photos appear on my iMac. This is a new problem, hasn't always been this way. Haven't done an update or anything that I think would cause the change. I have been air dropping them since this problem started.

- iphone is 11.4(haven't done the latest update), iMac is 10.13.6
Ideas?
