Can I annotate during a keynote presentation and still see presenter notes?

I would like to circle and outline on keynote slides during a presentation. Can I do that and still see my presenter notes? I have a MacBook pro but would consider an iPad Pro if it would work on it. Any help would be appreciated.

The remote function on iPad and iPhone has a mark up tool but its very basic and presenters notes is not available when using mark up.

Instead I use Ink2Go, it has mark up pens, marker, eraser, text and screen recording, there is a free trial available, its purchased from the Mac App Store.
