restoring ipad in itunes keeps going to activation lock

good morning,

I had to reset it, but from now on, I can't log in anymore. I know my passcode, I know witch email address I used for creating this apple account, but I can't get to it anymore (pw forgotten).

Can you please tell me the process I should follow to use my Ipad. Thank you for this.

have a great day

You can reset an account’s password via http://iforgot.apple.com

No, activation lock is an anti-theft feature, if restoring to a backup removed it it wouldn’t be a lock and would be pointless.

Can he not reset his account’s password by answering the security questions on http://iforgot.apple.com ? If not he could contact iTunes Support and see if they can reset it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww . Or, and if he bought the iPad new and if he has proof of purchase (e.g. original receipt with serial number on it), he could try taking it to an Apple Store or contacting Support online and see if they can remove the iPad from his account.
