Could someone clarify this kernel panic log?

I've been getting a kernel panic every hour for the last 24... And it's always this kernel panic. Can someone clarify what the issue might be? Could it be some weird cross talk between icloud storage and the hard drive?

Generally a painc report is much longer. Could you please post the entire panic report?

User uploaded file

Look for the Kernel Panic reports at:

Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder -> /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

<http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2546>

<http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200553>

The panic report should have "panic" in the file name.

Also

Please post the EtreCheck output as a "Reply" to this thread

<https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6174> or <https://etrecheck.com>

Click on the Share icon and select "Copy Report"

User uploaded file

.

And then Paste the report as a "Reply" to this thread.

If, AND ONLY IF, you get the error:

"The message contains invalid characters"

then try posting to PasteBin.com, and give us a PasteBin URL link.

<http://pastebin.com/>

.

EtreCheck is a tool that helps Apple Support Community volunteers debug problems without any access to the troubled computers. Debugging problems can be a difficult task even when the machine is in front of you. Attempting it via a discussion forum is extremely difficult. EtreCheck is a great help that regards.

If I understand correctly, with more free space, your Mac is still panic'ing. Also you have re-installed macOS and the problem still occurs.

I would start to think maybe there is a hardware problem. Please keep in my diagnosing a problem remotely is mostly an educated guessing game, so keep in mind I am making guesses, no matter how educated they are

Try running he build-in hardware diagnostic.

<How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac - Apple Support>

Then make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple store and have them run their much more extensive diagnostics. They have the quick level, where they do it while you are seated at the Genius Bar, and they have a more extensive version that requires you to leave your Mac overnight.

EtreCheck says:

2018-09-11 09:15:59 Kernel Panic (11 times)

Look at the other kernel panics and see if they are all similar. I'm not interested in addresses and such, just the phrases:

panic(...): Kernel trap ..., type 14=page fault

...

Kernel Extensions in backtrace:

com.apple.filesystems.apfs(...)

Changes in kernel panic patterns can sometimes tell you if it is RAM issues. Consistent panic signatures make us look for something else.

A lot of it is educated guesses and trying things until the panics go away.

disk1s1 - Macintosh HD 121.12 GB (11.62 GB free)

You are running very low on free disk space. I suggest you find more free space on your disk and keep it around.

APFS is a new file system, and as such, it may have edge cases that are not as well tested. Maybe at the time of the panic, you had even less free space (maybe caused by macOS growing its swapfile usage. A reboot, after a panic, would shrink the swapfile back down, so when you ran EtreCheck your free space may is now the 11.62 reported.

I DO NOT know that low free space is the issue. I am just looking for situations that might create edge conditions for a very young file system.

Could someone clarify this kernel panic log?
