I Deleted Malwarebytes But Icon Still Shows in Startup Menu - How to Remove?

Genius Bar employee added Malwarebytes to my Mac and nothing was found. I no longer want it on my computer so I closed the application, then dragged and dropped it into trash... but their icon is still showing in my startup menu. I want that "M" gone. But I can't get rid of it because it says the application is no longer on my system, yet this thing is still showing.

I went to Preferences > Users > Login and looked for the program there. It is not there so I can't delete.

How do I get rid of this???

I presume you mean the Dock. To remove icons (shortcuts) from the Dock, you can drag the icon up, hold it until the tool tip “Remove” appears, and then let go. Use the Dock on Mac - Apple Support

Hi, thank you for replying. Not in the dock, but Startup Bar/Menu. I ended up running the activity monitor to delete, then followed the instructions in the link above; using the manual removal process.

Uninstall Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac

https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1190

If you can not command drag or option click the icon in the menu bar to get to some option to remove it.

Then typically the go to way is to run the official uninstaller. If you simply deleted the app by dragging to the trash, you may have to re-installl it to run the uninstaller.

Reinstall Malwarebytes. Then from its Help menu, select Uninstall Malwarebytes.
