Siri command for playing my playlist.
I would like to play my playlists on my Home Pod. I have iTunes Match. When I ask Siri to play a playlist, she can not find it. I do not have Apple Music. What is the command for Siri?

I was told (by Apple Support) that Siri won't play your playlists through the HomePod unless you subscribe to Apple Music, but I sort of found a workaround. If you go into your playlist from your Mac (where you store all your music, and then just connect to your HOmepod from there, it seems to work.
The command is "Hey, Siri, play my playlist [name of playlist]," and if you want, "on shuffle."
That said, you may need to have a subscription to Apple Music AND have your music on iCloud. I can't be sure about what specific conditions you might be missing, because those are my circumstances, and I find I can play my playlists even when I'm miles from the iMac that physically houses the vast bulk of my music.
Just a few minutes ago, for example, I was playing something on my (traveling) HomePod at a home we're visiting for a month in North Carolina; the iMac is in New York City, turned off. And I can play my playlists through bluetooth connection on a car system as well.
Is Siri able to play some individual songs that you have as part of your iTunes collection? Or albums? That would be a good test for what is and what isn't possible. I have discovered--and there are other messages about this--that the name you give to a playlist can make it hard, at times, for Siri to find it (some artist names, Siri doesn't recognize yet, for example).

HomePod should work with iTunes Match. Simple playlist names may work best. See also Remote control for HomePod, not using AirPlay.

I used the above command and was unsuccessful with having Siri play even the simplest named playlist. looks like I will have to get Apple Music to make it work the way I want it to. I will report back after I try with Apple Music. thanks
I was aware of this, however, I want to be able to access my playlists wherever I am in my house without running to my computer each time I want to listen to one of my playlists. I can do it with Siri as long as I am subscribed to Apple Music. They got me now. Of course I do have access to all their music, but I would be happy with just mine.
