Depends on how much water you spill on your keyboard is it just a drip or two or a huge splash on your keyboard try to use a soft rag to get out most of the water or liquid right away from your keyboard. OR turn over your keyboard and let the liquids come out by itself and leave it there for a whole day then see if it is dry or not. Another option is to buy a plastic key board cover that you put over your keyboard or if you have a number pad to the far right then you need a full plastic cover which include the number pad to the far right. Some have clear plastic where you can see your keyboard or some have a plastic cover where the keyboard numbers and letters on it are printed on the cover. It does not have to be fancy looking and you only want it to cover the keyboard for spill of liquids. I got a plastic cover for my keyboard with numbers on the far right. It only cost me $2.00 which I purchase a very long time ago to prevent spills. When it gets dirty you can just wash it under cold water with a little dish soap and hand dry and after drying it good as new again. After my very first spill I know longer drink water, soda pop or eating cookies over my keyboard anymore when using my Apple keyboard. To purchase another key board it is very expensive so try to buy a key board cover and it does not have to be fancy one and get a plain one the cover is only to protect your keyboard.
