FCP 10.4.3 - Canopus ADVC 300 not working

Hello

I want to convert a few old VHS tapes and transfer them to FCP 10.4.3. If have been using a Canopus ADVC 300 which has worked fine. I havent used for a approx 6 months. Now using High Sierra and FCP 10.4.3 but no data going into FCP X. The device is recognised but no data. I have checked the source with a monitor and the video machine is working fine.

Anyone else had the same problem since updating to latest FCP?

Problem solved. One of the small switches on the back on ntsc instead of pal so device unable to send video to Mac.

FCP X requires Timecode.

Unless the canopus device is generating timecode on the fly it will not work.

You can try using Quicktime Player to record off of the canopus and then import the files to FCP X.
