In the Notes app I can’t seem to figure out how to access the ruler! Was this feature removed in iOS 12? I thought that holding two fingers on the screen when in drawing mode used to activate it.

Thank you Demo. The + sign was what I failing to try. There is a distinct difference between adding a Sketch object and Drawing on the Note. Tapping the Pencil icon brings up everything but the Ruler. Strange that they went this way because the Drawing provides more features than the Sketch, save the Ruler.
Do you mean the Ruler in the Sketch feature in Notes?

You need to start a sketch in Notes, for the to 2 finger option to bring up the ruler.
Or something else?

Thanks for responding. It should appear when you create a Sketch, yes. I used to use two fingers to bring up the ruler. However since downloading iOS 12, no matter what gesture I use, I cannot bring up the ruler within the Sketch area. I can’t seam to find an instructional for it either. This morning I’m Going to YouTube it.
Not only more features, drawing in a note is definitely more evolved, for instance, deleting works much better now. Seems very odd that drawing after adding a sketch functions so differently. Oversight?
Start a new note. Tap the + sign on the upper right part of the keyboard. Select Add Sketch. The ruler appears at the bottom.

Please follow the steps in my answer. The ruler is available when you create a Sketch in a note.
Perhaps, I wonder how the introduction of the new Apple Pencil will change things in Notes. I look forward to an update of all things involving Pencil.
