After I updated to ios 12, the true tone option dissappeared from my iPhone X and isn’t turned on either. The screen looks horible without it as i’ve gotten used to it. How can i fix this?

This bug persist in iOS 11.0.1, I removed the sceeen from an iPhone 8 Plus iCloud locked and replace the cracked one, even like that the True Tone is missing in ios 12, the ambient light sensor works great.

Thanks for the info. I did have my screen replaced, however, it was replaced with an original one, not with an aftermarket. Can you please tell me more about that tool or link me the forum topic?
Mine is a new one from Tmobile but no True Tone on it. iPhone 8plus. Should I suspect on Tmobile as they gave me the refurbished one?
Thanks for reverting back. But are you talking about the latsest iOS12.0.1?? Guess 11.0.1 is a typo, just as I wrote 12.01 instead of 12.0.1😜
